Customer Experience: MYSKI-project

The Sales Competence at the Center of Growth Project (Myski) is a joint project of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, University of Oulu and the Education Association OSAO. The goal of Myski-project is to develop sales expertise in the Oulu region. The projects first big event was “Tomorrow’s Sales” and was organized virtually with the help of Liveto.

Myski-project:

  • Organizes events, coaching, workshops and other events
  • Cooperation with Liveto began in 2020
  • “Tomorrow’s Sales”-event had almost 400 attendees

In the Myski-project, there will be events, coaching, workshops and other events with different themes of sales. Project will be done between April 2019 and March 2022 and a new operating model for the development of sales competence will be developed in the Oulu region. A new sales training package will be developed through the project and it will include content that meets both the current and future sales needs. The long-term goal of the Myski-project is to make the Oulu region a leading city of Finnish sales expertise.

"Tomorrow's Sales"-event

“Tomorrow’s Sales”-event was the first major speaker event for the Myski-project and had four speakers.  Speeches covered the soft values and skills of sales. In addition to the speakers, the program also included other parts such as discussion rooms for participants and stands for event partners. The event was originally planned to be held in person but the circumstances forced them to move the event into a virtual event platform. However this proved to be a very good way to organize this event as the virtual event ended up attracting participants from all over Finland. According to the project coordinator Kaihua, the remote event was convenient as the participants were able to join the event from their couch at home or their work for example. A remote event does not bind its participants to any specific location but instead allows them to participate from almost anywhere.

Cooperation with Liveto

According to Kaihua, Liveto was chosen as a partner as they had been wanting to organize their virtual event on a professional virtual event platform. This way, they would not need to worry about the technology as things were being taken care of by the professionals. They wanted a partner for the Myski-project that would be reliable. It was also important to them that they were able to offer a good event experience for their attendees.

"I would definitely recommend Liveto to other virtual event organizers as well."         - Elina Kaihua, Project Coordinator

According to Kaihua, by partnering with Liveto, they were able to create a really good event. Even the event participants of the event had given excellent feedback on their event.
